To: FLT-bird

I hear you. That’s what I’m trying not to do - another Rx. From what I’ve read, I don’t think I have it too bad. I don’t drink much beer at all - but red wine, yes.

That doesn’t seem to bother me but I’ve noticed now that whiskey is a no-go. But food flare ups are pretty obvious to me.

Don’t drink much beer... A shot glass is too much. I had to quit beer altogether- wasn’t sure I would survive that but after a couple of years I don’t miss it anymore. A shot of whiskey is not recommended but it is a lot less likely to feed the gout. Beer, beef, and seafood are the worst. Freshwater fish are fine. Everybody! try pineapple juice for a flareup. It’s cheap and for most of us it tastes good.
