That one left me speechless for two reasons. One was the thing you just described.
The other is that at that instant, I realized there is no reasoning with someone that deceived.
That has been one of the hardest things for me. Realizing that I cannot reach those people whom I might otherwise admire, because they are impervious to logic and rationality in these matters.
That, and that these people are supporting things that can, have been, and will destroy our nation. And they seem to be wholly unaware of it.
I have concluded that to them, Leftism is a religion. A religion for people who are unable or unwilling to believe in God.

I have long believed that you cannot be a Leftist and be a Christian. The two are mutually exclusive.

The revealing action of Kamala regrading her nonattendance at the Al Smith Dinner and the spontaneous remark she made to an attendee where she was celebrating abortion when the attendee shouted out “Jesus is Lord” disclosed her atheistic beliefs consistent with Marxists and Communists ideology.

Progressives are owned by pride (a glue that keeps sin stuck to you) and obsessed with:
- control
- not losing
- reading other people’s minds
- status
and they will break things (move goal posts [”1970 ‘nuclear winter’” || “2000 ‘global warming crisis’” || “DEI” || “*contraception-after-the-fact:abortion* is ‘health care’”]) to win, yet always to be viewed as winning.
That started in their cribs, or along their paths of knocking about in life - and usually includes an extremist-and-narrow perspective of history (from which, David Horowitz *freed himself*).
Progressives consider our foundational construction tools, upon which our Constitution is built:
- enumeration of powers
- original intent
as threats; such tools are intended to limit authority of government power.
Progressives “believe” in un-limited governance, because they are desparate to grasp anything that affords them un-limited opportunities to escape from personal accountability and responsibility - “in the absence of a legal controlling authority” (- Al Gore).
I think that is only part of it. Others I believe have been convinced or brainwashed into thinking Trump is the next Hitler, or the devil disguised as the false prophet. If you can stand it watch CNN and you would think you are in an alternate reality.
I’m going to have to take your word for that. I like my television enough that I don’t want to jeopardize throwing heavy objects at it were I to put CNN on.
A fascinating thing with David.
He has a son, who is big in Silicon Valley, and is a Democrat and has many Left-Liberal friends. He voted for Obama and then wrote in a vote for a Rap Artist in 2016, then voted for Biden. Now he’s voting for Trump. Him and his father still disagree on any things, but he and his wife (she’s “black”) are starting to see the disconnects between the Liberals thinking and the results of that thinking.
Indeed, it is probably pretty stressful to have your whole reality constructed with Lies.
