Talk about someone who had it all and threw it all away.
I’ll just say that there’s nothing wrong with offering the other driver cash rather than going through the insurance mess. It’s done all the time when it’s just a fender-bender.
The article implies there’s something underhanded about this.
In Tennesse why is it illegal to have a handgun and a rifle in your car?
“When you ain’t got nothin’, you got nothin’ to lose...” - Bob Dylan
Maybe he had “everything” but nothing.
I know what that’s like.
In Tennessee, it is illegal to have a handgun and a rifle in your ear...
Similar scenarios are all too common with ex nfl players.....current ones as well for that matter.

It wasn’t insurance. It was the police. He was drunk.
If he was intoxicated and had possession of a loaded firearm, that would be illegal.
I thought Tennessee was 2nd amendment friendly state.

It isn’t.
Two grand for rear ending my car?
Jay needs to come up with a little more than that if he want to make a bribe.
He should have starred at $20k.
The person he hit should have started with “For $75k, I can make it go away.”
Tailgater
Yeah, not wise, but still not illegal.
Yep, probably from his high school days to his Vanderbilt days, he could do anything and get away with it, because he was a star Quarterback.
Then he goes to the NFL, where for the first time he has to deal with adversity and he can’t handle it.
$2,000 will buy a lot of Uber rides.
Just sayin’.
You got to offer more than two grand.
“he could do anything and get away with it”
Or in the case of college, do little to no work and get away with it just so he can play football and make money for the school and conference.
We got a new admin assistant in my department once fresh out of Clemson that had been a tutor for football players.
I asked her how much help they usually needed from them and in stone faced seriousness she said “make no mistake, when it comes to football players, the tutors do ALL of it”.
I was thinking the same thing.
Oh, it’s OK in Tennessee to have a handgun and a rifle in your car, just not in your ear.
I don’t know what that has to do with anything... it’s Friday and my funny bone is a bit quirky...
