This reminds me of about 4 or 5 years ago (more or less). The scientists were predicting:

• "the end of sunspots"
• "the sun was dying"
• "solar activity has ceased"
• "sun spots have disappeared".

Evidently they were wrong.

I see that some don’t remember what you mentioned about lack of solar activity but I do.

Solar Cycle 24 was the weakest in 100 years. Cycle 25 was predicted to be as weak or weaker based on theoretical model simulations. But Cycle 25 turned out to be a bit stronger, but still weaker than Cycles 21, 22 and 23. The twin dynamos controlling the 11 and 22 year cycle are non-linear and dynamic, similar to that of El Nino/La Nina.
