I would argue the language - for me - differs:
Are ‘they’ willing to pay the price?
I - and others - took an oath. They ought be scared to death.
The corollary question:
Are WE willing to take action before it’s too late?
The cost of freedom is that you most often don’t get to experience it or even know that is was obtained. Your posterity do.
