Government agents spend money like there is no tomorrow. OPM (Other Peoples’ Money) seems to be the theme. Spend...spend...spend to advance their idiocy on every level.
That 5th wheel really comes in handy when the parking is tight.
You would think that PRIOR to taking delivery on an Electric vehicle the police station would have installed a rapid charger AT THE STATION. So that they could recharge them while they sat at the station. This seems like they were literally putting the cart before the horse. Bad planning.
I live next door to a town of about 12K people in southern NH. I happen to pass the police station pretty regularly on my way to work. They have standard gasoline four door cruisers and one SUV. However, every time I pass by there are at least five cruisers sitting in the parking lot. Which means there are probably two driving around town. This is not a big crime area.
My point is that most of the time these cruisers are just sitting outside of the station. Plenty of time to charge IF they had a supercharger there.
FYI, I am not advocating EVs. However, I work in Nashua. About half of the full size Metro city buses run on natural gas. The rest are diesel/electric. I know someone who drives a bus. There are 12 routes in the city. All the buses return to the garage where they refuel with either diesel or natural gas after they do their routes.
Right next door to where I work is a facility where they park and work on all the local Amazon delivery vans. There is another lot about a mile down the street. All the vans come back there and get refueled and maintained.
You need to Ban Government from banning whatever they feel like banning ,LOL
ballistic panels ? to protect the battery because criminals will shoot those first
Leftist (plus one Texan here) Response: ‘It’s not Tesla’s fault that these policemen are unable to adapt to new technology’.
I was in Rome last week. Parking there is really tough(2000 year old city).
I saw a lot of Smart cars. They were noticeable because many times they backed them into the spot on the curb instead of parallel parking them. Sometimes because there was not enough room to park it the normal way.
Most people actually drove scooters(60 CC). Diesel was 1.63 EU/liter. Gasoline was about 12 cents more.
Three times I rode in a Mercedes Diesel standard transmission mini van. They were very popular with the car services.
“5 wheel? Training wheel? Lol :)”
No, spare tire drive, genius. LOL.
Seems like DeLoreans with an enhanced Flux Capacitor would be a better investment.
They don't need a bullet to catch on fire. A high-speed run to the nearest Krispy Kreme is all it takes.
An EV might make sense for an urban apartment dweller who commutes less than twenty miles per day.
My neighbor has had one for maybe a couple years at least.
LOL to the Krispy Kreme. I hope the driver wasn’t hurt or worse..
It’s just a matter of time when you go camping a see signs NO EV AUTOS ALLOWED STB.
Fear of forest fires are real.
STB = Smokey The Bear
Just not having an intellect darkened by [insert persistent ungodly belief or behavior here] plus a few years of useful life experience will probably do the trick.
Ok, then. I'll state it:
Not being an adherent to the false religion of climate zealotry and, by consequence, demonstrable/willful participation in the 'true pandemic' pretty much squares up the bulk of us who agree.
The rest of them - including the bulk of the CA government - are just plain stupid.
By measure, the rest of us are all geniuses (some more so than others).
NBC’s 20/20 doing an updated test?
/s indeed!
It sounds like those many blind bureaucrats you speak of have the darkened intellects This Guy mentioned.
They’ll pass an IQ test with flying colors but in many important ways be and remain stupid because their destructive lifestyles and mindsets stand directly in the way of their individual intellectual recoveries.
Are you referring to Dateline NBC?

Or to the Ford Pinto blowup story maybe?
It’s a shame we have to be specific!
Thanks for the catch.
