To: PIF

These faulty welds were either knowingly made, or unintentionally made. Which is it?

Does not matter which - its the inspectors who are supposed to inspect every weld that screw the pooch.

The inspectors should inspect AND SIGN OFF ON every critical weld. Why are they not accountable?

Maybe they did. The other possibility is the welding material itself. The inspectors would not be able to tell if the wrong welding materiel was used.

Not enough inspectors

Too many deadlines.

Sometimes these are judgement calls. There are a lot of things to be balanced. Report said they are noncritical areas.

An inspector after the fact from another company has more time and incentive to find a problem. Someone with no practical experience.

Every had your house inspected?
