It shows the deterioration of Cobb County (metro Atlanta) that an unqualified chimp can be elected sheriff there now. He's up for re-election this year and this little incident isn't likely to hinder his chances.

Cobb used to be a very nice suburban county but is experiencing significant White Flight, Whites are now a minority, and in 2020 Trump lost by almost 15 points (GOP had won every presidential election in Cobb from 1980-2012).

And no, it's not ALL "frodd, frodd, frodd, frodd, frodd!!!!" (our handy-dandy excuse for any outcome we don't like) -- it's demographics.
