Intentional. Deliberate. Unprofessional. Unbecoming. Dangerous. Mean. They should get the boot.
'It was a mistake.' They should get the boot.
It’s like a Mel Brooks script directed by Tobe Hooper.
was the pilot a woman? Because they said it’s ok if female captains and pilots crash some ships because that’s what it’s going to take to bring ‘equity’ to these professions. Equity trumps safety.
Military helicopter with all the bells and whistles, no way they were bland to how many and the nature of the landing site.
Either this was willful or grossly incompetent, both require immediate dismissal and an investigation, willful requires legal actions, incompetent - was DEI involved (fire the command structure as well then!).
“What this situation was was they were bringing in a generator to that landing site...”
Did the helicopter have a generator slung under it?
Or was it a tiny generator that was being carried inside the aircraft? If that was the case, they could have brought it in via land vehicle.
I’ve been in a helicopter. You can tell from pretty far away if there’s something on your landing area. That was deliberate.
Oh bullshit, crap happens......Sheesh!
Then you would not mind if “crap happens” at a Nuclear power Plant. I mean after all, if an entire state becomes radioactive for 10000 years what can we do, crap happens, right?
The event literally put lives in jeopardy, it cannot just be waved away and an “oh well.”
???? It was stupid but so is this.
Especially when you hit the gas...
Inconsequential ass holes like to bitch and moan about everything while actually doing nothing at all worth a damn
It must have been a DEI-trained pilot and crew. I guess they don’t understand the idea of “helping” someone. Anyway...why does the National Guard need unmarked Apache helicopters? If they had done this to a gathering of illegal alien invaders...some people would be up in arms forever.
It apparently is true that government employees for the most part are arrogant asses.
During Katria there were rumors of people shooting at helicopers...
I wondered if this was an attempt to draw fire so the “vicious redneck” trope could be used.
So is what? I consider stupid, dismissing out of hand an event that nearly killed people.
That callousness of such an attitude is appalling. Why would anyone try to play it off as something insignificant?
What a lying POS. That guard commander needs to be removed from service, along with the pilot!
An investigative sleuth on twitter found that the helo belonged to the CT National Guard ( in the vic same time as the NC Guard helo)
Observers reported the unmarked helo pilots and a backseat passenger were masked.
My suspicion: someone from DHS or FEMA was doing a joyride over the area, 2 black SUVs had briefly visited the site an hour earlier ( Cajun Navy supply site) and the helo made a visit to harass them.
The NC Guard is taking the fall to protect DHS.
“As they approached they noticed that there were too many people and too many tents and commodities too close to the landing site, so they pulled in power to take back off ... and the rotor wash caused that damage.”
That’s a damn lie. I saw the video.
He’s following the orders of the NC Governor to take the blame “ in the interest of National Security” to cover the origin and purpose of that flight.
If it was a helo of the NG it would have identifiable markings unless it was SpecOps.
Imo
