We are living through an age in which life is cheap and is being callously discarded and disregarded.
In late winter of 1966, my high school friend John, who was just 18, drove his car into a bridge abutment and died instantly.
Something had gone terribly wrong. John had gone off to a good Midwestern college, been elected president of his class, and excelled in his studies, but then he went home at the end of his first semester and refused to return to school. John was a young man with a slight build and an effeminate and tentative manner, and I wondered if his sexuality had something to do with his decision to drop out of college and then end his life on that winter day. Whatever it was, I felt very sorry about what happened and have never forgotten my friend John.
By ending his life at 18, John missed so much. Whatever his sexual proclivity, he would presumably have found love and friendship, established himself in a career, earned the respect of colleagues, and witnessed the landmark historical events of the next 60 years, including the King and Robert Kennedy assassinations, Watergate, the Reagan revolution, the end of the Cold War, the dot-com crash of 2000 and the housing bubble of the mid-2000s, and the election of Donald Trump in 2016. He would probably be alive today, enjoying his retirement. All of that was lost in a moment of desperation.
When I think about John, I realize how precious life is. And the more I think about it, the more aghast I am at John’s decision to end his life. He was very young, and young for his age, when he could not have fully realized what he was doing.

I wonder if those flooding our country with illegal invaders, destroying our culture and destroying lives, stop to think about this?
Sociopaths think of others only in terms of themselves. Others don’t really matter except to the extent they are “useful” to the sociopath, and Washington, DC is filled with people like this. This election is not about Republican vs Democrat, it’s about America vs Washington, DC.

Be down on your luck (or whatever one wishes to call it) - while there are a few amazing, incredible people (thank God) you will learn quite a bit about the human race.
Things you never wanted to learn.
Suicide is selfish, no matter what the reason. There is a lot more to this than the author is telling us. As usual, one tries to slip in sympathy for someone who is sexually perverted. I simply will not accept this. Sorry...throw eggs.
Perhaps John was raped by a man or men at college.
Young people do rash things. Make bad decisions. Sometimes those decisions have very sudden and devastating consequences. The same for people in great pain, grief and other emotional extremis.
Permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I absolutely hate people trying to normalize homosexuality. They always want to virtue signal "Not that there's anything wrong with it" to everybody, when they should be pointing out how horrible it is to the people who engage in it *AND* to normal society as well.
The F@ggots killed millions of people with their spreading of AIDS. Ryan White, Arthur Ashe and Isaac Asimov, among them. They keep nasty virulent venereal disease alive, by acting as a repository for these germs.
They molest children. Their most common cause of death *IS* suicide, which should make it clear to people that they have some serious mental problems.
They should *NOT* be talked about as if their behavior is normal and acceptable, it should be denounced if the topic is brought up at all!
Especially in "conservative" articles or essays.
By indulging in a homosexual life style, ala Freddy Mercury, he missed a full life by dying early from CMV,
AIDS, Hepatitis C, and a whole host of atrocious diseases.
Our society is intent on burying the millennial perception that this human aberration is indeed a mental illness
If I somehow decided to end my life, I’d take a lot of leftist henchmen with me. As many as possible.
