"Mosquito-Borne Virus Spreads at 'Unprecedented' Levels in L.A. Climate Change May Make Things Worse"

Back in the days that they used DDT, they didn't obsess with climate change discussions.

Climate change will solve the mosquito problem. The climate is getting colder and all the mosquitos will freeze to death.

They blame climate change when the simpler theory would be that we have millions of new arrivals who may carry disease, which mosquitoes then carry around.

Fixed:
Until last year, all dengue cases reported in California were associated with people traveling FROM a country where the disease is common. But Los Angeles County public health officials are now warning about the "unprecedented" local transmission of dengue, which is commonly found in PEOPLE FROM tropical and subtropical climates.

dengue is going to be endemic anywhere mosquitos breed. migration policies almost guarantee it.

Usually is seen in people who visited parts of the world where it is prevalent. But most assuredly cannot be brought in through “visitors” who live in countries where the diseases are endemic. Another false narrative complete with gaslighting(bold faced lies) with tons of text about how climate change is a large factor. Mass migration is not, right? We are doomed by lack of truth in our media outlets.

I had dengue this spring while living part time in Honduras. Not fun, but good for catching up on sleep and weight loss.

I do wonder which part of climate change is causing this. Is it warming, cooling, or the pause part of climate change we should be heavily taxed for this time?

I’m in Riverside County and one of those egypti tried to bite me the other night. The mosquitoes around here are very small almost no-see’ms but this one was much larger and had white bands on its legs. Lots of complaints from local citizens that the skeeters are out of control. Many calls for the powers that be to spray.
