I guess it was ever thus. "Hollywood" has always depended on such idiots for a steady supply of children for sexual abuse.
Bobby Driscoll, Jonathan Brandis, Corey Haim, Brittany Murphy, River Phoenix etc. All became messed up adults who died at their own hands either intentionally or accidentally. Even go back to Our Gang to see what Hollywood does to children.
