Are you using Windows?

Click somewhere in your browser, hold down the Ctl key, and use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out which will change the font size.

Here is the old Theme changer from older versions of Windows.
Why Microsoft got rid of it I do not know.

Get “Themes.exe”
This looks like the old Themes icon in Windows 7 and earlier.
https://gitlab.com/ftortoriello/WinClassicThemeConfig/-/releases

Other
click on “Latest executables”

Click on to highlight: 10-x64
then to the far right you will click on the 3 ...
Choose ‘Standard download’ and save to your Desktop.
Open and you will see: Themes.exe
Double click and the dialog box opens.
There you will see Iem: Desktop and below Font: ‘name of’
Choose in dropdown what you want. Click Apply button and after a few seconds the change will be made. No restart needed. Make Bold will make very black text. I use Segoe UI Semibold and size 12 on my screen of 2560 x 1440

Here are others:

Just click on the font on say ‘Icon’ Segoe UI, 10pt as an example
Make the changes you want of any font and size.

Right click on the Start button and click on Search. Type: Cleartype and click on ‘Adjust Cleartype text’ and go thru the wizard.

After a recent Windows update I had to do so. The fonts were blurry. That was fixed by using Cleartype.

The Desktop icons are the same size as before but the text underneath is smaller.

I checked my settings and nothing had changed.
2560 x 1440 screen resolution.

Scale and layout 125%

Answer: Settings> Ease of Access
Did a search for: Accessibility
Then clicked on result: Ease of Access settings

On the right side there is a slider under: Make text bigger
It was set at 123% which is where it had been before. I changed to 125% and Windows said “Please wait”. The Desktop icon text was made bigger.

I changed back to 123% and the text was smaller but bigger then when I started. I do not know why.
See screenshots of before and after.

I used Winaero Tweaker> Icon to change the Vertical height 1 pixel. Windows Signed out and afterward the text was back to being too small even though it was at 123%....
https://winaero.com/winaero-tweaker

I changed to 124% and Apply. The text looks to be slightly smaller.
After a restart the text size and icon spacing has remained what I changed it to.
Now looking good.

Even though no Windows update was done there were still issues where Microsoft made subtle changes. It is like someone came into your place and moved things around slightly.

Good to know. I have never used it on PC, I have on iPhone.

It is going to be similar to what I wrote for making a generic font bold probably.

I will try to look into it, may take a couple days, a lot going on. I will send this to myself also as a reminder!
