I had two German Shepherds. The one would bark, the other was silent.

The silent one would circle around behind the person and get between them and their car, while they were paying attention to the barker.. She would bite.

Luckily I lived very remote with no neighbors and my dirt lane was a mile long. People didn’t just show up.

A friend of mine built his house in the middle of his 600 acre fenced in ranch. You had to open the locked gate and drive through the cows to get to the house. He just put steep steps up to his porch to keep the cows out of his house. The bull protected his cows, and the house.

German Shepherds are an exceptional choice for their combination of brains, loyalty, capabillity, and even appearence. They also need a lot of room to move around. A large spread with multiple Shepherd sounds ideal.

A good dog deserves a good home built for the dogs’ needs. Those dogs scored.
