He fits my definition of a despicable bum.
Despicable-adjective. deserving to be despised, or regarded with distaste, disgust, or disdain; contemptible:
Bum-of poor quality; bad or wrong.
Alex Jones makes his fortune selling snake oil remedies from his infowars store. His comments about Sandy Hook were nothing more than click bait to attract gullible to his store. IOW, IMHO, Alex Jones said things he knew were false to drum up business for his snake oil products.
I consider that despicable and I consider him to be a bum for inflicting emotional distress just to make a profit. YMMV.
It's been my experience that a *LOT* of conservative talk show hosts sold a bunch of crap that most people don't need and didn't need.
I remember Rush Limbaugh pushing Snapple, and services to lock your identity, and a whole host of stuff I considered garbage.
Are all these talk show hosts "despicable" because they push garbage?
And what makes you think Alex Jones knew they were false? I don't watch him, but over the years i've seen a lot of commentary about other stuff he's said, and the consensus is he gets it right most of the time.
That stuff about "turning the frogs gay"? That stuff is true. Stuff we are leaching into the water is indeed turning frogs "gay" and also causing mutations.
From what i've read, he's correct more often than he is wrong.
Do you think Pfizer ought to have a judgement against them for 1000 billion dollars for claiming you wouldn't get covid, nor could you transmit it to others if you got the shot?
Just wondering about why you think Jones, who said a wrong thing, but did not have anything to do with the shooting deserves this kind of treatment? Yet Pfizer who absolutely lied, knew they lied, and actually hurt a lot of people with their vaccine shouldn't pay thousands of times more?
Awaiting your answer.
