That’s how they kill hogs at slaughtering. The hogs go unconscious on a conveyor, where they are then hoisted up with a chain around the back legs, then the throat is cut so they bleed out. The whole room is a chamber of nitrogen or CO2. I used to have to fix the conveyors when something broke. They didn’t flush the room so I could work. I had to put on a space suit with an air supply to work. A confined space permit environment applied. If they flushed oxygen into the room, the Pigs would wake up brain damaged and go helter-skelter, so you did quick fixes and got out.

But Hampshire breed hogs seem to have a resistance to the gas and wildly protest and vocalize. How do they deal with those?
