Yes they do. And considering that the country is either Buddhist or Shinto I find it amusing that they celebrate it at all.

I think it’d be fun if some Japanese families were treated to a full-on (or even typical) U.S. Thanksgiving or Christmas meal and see their reactions to it all.

Don’t the Japanese eat KFC for Christmas? I haven’t been to Japan, (I changed flights at Narita Airport once and that’s about it) but I’ve heard that. Bikkuri, you probably have some intel on this?
