200-300 mg of caffeine or three Americano coffees a day was optimal for reducing multiple reasons for cardiometabolic death.

And, it also might help prevent traffic accidents.
When I'm on the road for an extensive drive, halfway through the trip, I'll get a 2-shot Americano and eat a banana or two. The combination is amazing in maintaining alertness.

The study does say that moderate consumption is best, but presents no data relative to high coffee/tea/caffeine users.

I dr8nk a Frappuccino every morning- home made with just coffee and condensed milk (is that more a cappuccino? I’m not too up on drink names) which is loaded with sugar, so I don’t use sugar in the coffee itself.
The drink has about 300 ca.ories per 14 ounces co pared to about 150 calories or so for a pepsi.
I’d drink em all day except that I’m inactive and would swell up like a sumo wrestler if I did.

I think “moderation” is important.
My mom was a “drink the pot all day long” coffee drinker and died with multiple heart and blood pressure issues.
