Do they have UV lasers? I know that UV LEDs are common. UV light can damage eyes and skin.

I was thinking maybe stage lighting. Stage lighting uses halogen lamps, and without an appropriate filter, it can blast UV light at whomever or whatever it’s pointed at.

Wouldn’t put it past a deranged lefty to feign helping out as part of the stage crew and “accidentally” removing a filter from a specific stage light or two.

This guy gives a pretty good breakdown of the dangers of an unfiltered halogen light. Granted he’s talking about a work lamp, but halogen stage lighting works similarly.

Yes. Mostly on meat processing lines.

I read somewhere it was likely a malfunctioning stage light emitting too much UV wavelength - the clue being that the eye burning happened to folks only on one side of the audience behind Trump.
