That’s what i’m thinking, portable magnetron out of a microwave oven using one of those gadgets you can buy online for long distance listening, only lined with adhesive foil to direct the concentrated beam outward same as it’s used by design to concentrate sound at a distance into the unit. Cheap directed energy horn. Lithium Ion battery feeding a power supply or DC to AC converter. Wouldn’t have near the juice as a 1000W microwave oven but could still direct MW energy at a distance. Or higher output for shorter durations. Probable?
Like all RF, the inverse square law applies. Power, antenna gain, and distance determines the field strength. As you say, different tissues respond to different frequencies.
I think Trump speaks from behind a bullet-proof glass shield now, which would probably attenuate the energy enough that Trump himself wasn’t affected.

And a microwave weapon (no, Havana was NOT one) would have had instantaneous effects, not 30 minutes later. Microwave weapons are used to disperse crowds etc... they get an instantaneous sensation of burning to the point that they would flee.

I was thinking maybe stage lighting. Stage lighting uses halogen lamps, and without an appropriate filter, it can blast UV light at whomever or whatever it’s pointed at.
Wouldn’t put it past a deranged lefty to feign helping out as part of the stage crew and “accidentally” removing a filter from a specific stage light or two.

This guy gives a pretty good breakdown of the dangers of an unfiltered halogen light. Granted he’s talking about a work lamp, but halogen stage lighting works similarly.

I think I read that this happened to people who were sitting very near where Trump enters the arena. Somehow, if that is true, they did not time it so that it hit Trump. The left is so evil.
