I happened to take a nap today. I awakened to little Zizu (domestic shorthair rescue) by my left ear, purring. And Dandi, Maine Coon, laying on top of me, purring. Although it was a bit nippy, I sure didn’t feel it. Kitties in two-part harmony!
Sounds cozy. Cat owners have lower blood pressure.
One of my cats, Maris Crane, is my nurse when I’m sick. Lies by my ear and purrs me to sleep, then moves to the bottom of the bed. If I get up in the middle of the night, she sits up and watches the door for me to come back. Then repeat the process — purr me to sleep ... etc.
