Not the first time Olympic judges have screwed up

Lance Larson competed in the 1960 men’s 100 meter freestyle swimming. He completed his laps in 55.1 seconds. His competitor Australian John Devin completed his laps in 55.2 seconds. Even though there was videotape evidence showing Larson won the judges ruled for Australia. Then to add insult to injury they set Larson’s official time at 55.2 seconds.
Not to mention the Russian ice skating bribery scandal.
Or the 1972 Gold Medal Men’s Basketball game.
