Congnac for many years had a strange double demographic. Half of it was sold to 50 year old white guys. And, the other half went to young urban black guys. Hence the call: Yack and Coke.

Brandy is not my thing at all.
I didn’t have much occasion to have cognac, but some recipes I tried a few years ago called for it. So I bought a decent bottle of Martell, since I was just cooking with it. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. So I stock a bottle of it.
I’m a whiskey drinker (Bush Mills, Jameson, George Dickel, Wild Turkey, Knob Creek, etc.) when I go to the hard stuff and only the top shelf versions of those.
I’ll have drinks every now and then when I run out of beer which is my preference of alcohol (lately Warsteiner Dunkel is my favorite).
