First car I ever bought, a 1974 Spitfire. Bought it from a used car dealer in Norfolk, VA (I was a Navy sailor).
Lasted for 12 of the 18 payments and threw a rod.
I made two promises after that: Never buy from a used car dealer, and no more British cars.
When it was running, it was a really fun car.
