Not just in Mayberry any more.
I have A+ blood but the Red Cross says I have a rare blood type. So I guess it's more complicated than just the main groups. I was sent a set of letters (some with minus signs after them), but have no idea how to interpret them.

The universal red cell donor has Type O negative blood.
The universal plasma donor has Type AB blood.
