MAGA hat to protect my head from the Sun and pass off lib’s. I also wear a warm hat in cold weather and I wear a Fedora to look classy at Wedding and other formal occasions.

Hats are ubiquitous in our day in the form of the more or less inexpensive baseball cap. It's hard to go to any public place and not see scores of them. The reason is pretty much the same as it's always been: to protect the head from the sun or to hide a bad haircut or baldness. There are expensive ball caps that people wear as a fashion statement, but that's not true for the average person.

Nice hats like fedoras and Stetsons occasionally come back in style, but a really nice hat like those have become prohibitively expensive. One might be willing to shell out the dough, but since the mass of people aren't, you'd still look like an oddity among the bareheaded and ball cap wearing masses. This goes for both women as men, as nice hats for women used to be common too.

I found a pristine New Era ballcap, still had the price tag of $40.00 on it.

Lo and behold it actually fit my big canonball head !

Only problem , it’s a LA Dodgers cap. 😂
