Brittany Mahomes questioning her support of Donald Trump after his blistering take down of Taylor Swift left her 'shaken to the core'
The Daily Mail ^ | 16 Sep 2024 | James Vituscka

Brittany Mahomes is 'deeply bothered' by Donald Trump's very public attack on her close friend Taylor Swift, according to sources who claim the Kansas City Chiefs WAG is questioning her support for the former president.

Brittany, who has been married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes since 2022, sparked a liberal meltdown last month when she liked a post about Trump, 78, on social media.

Weeks later, Taylor, 34, publicly endorsed Kamala Harris' bid for president - an action that drove a reported 338,000 visits to the federal voter registration website after she shared a link on Instagram.

Trump hit back in predictably blistering style on his Truth Social platform, claiming 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT' - prompting Brittany, 29, to 'question' if she will continue to endorse his campaign.

'She is questioning her support for Donald Trump after he lashed out at Taylor, saying he hates her,' a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com.

'This deeply bothered Brittany because Taylor is like a sister to her and she has done absolutely nothing wrong.

'She didn't mention Trump in her post and is allowed to speak her mind.'

The source added that Trump's decision to react in such a hateful manner upset Brittany.

'She does not believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much,' the insider continued. 'This shook her to the core.'

They added: 'This doesn't mean she is suddenly voting Kamala. It has just made her more aware of supporting him so publicly.'

Actually I’d rather have someone transparent, like Trump.

I guess that’s just me.

“ That means we should stop going to the games and all the theaters.”

I can go to games andbtheater and tune out the anti American crap. I will not stand for anyone disrespecting the flag and this country for which it stands that I will not do nor should anyone calling themselves a man

If criticism by Trump can “shake you to the core” then you have serious self-esteem problems. No wonder Taylor Swift has a hard time keeping a man. It appears she is very high maintenance in pretty much every category.

“And the “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” post ? Screaming in all caps ? How childish”

Agreed. Current Trump haters could be a gold mine for Trump if he’d do a little reaching out to them.

All the good music and movies have already been made, anyway.

Frankly, this was stupid for Trump to say. This comment can only lose votes of Swift worshippers.

You’re one of those people who thinks he needs to gain the favor of everyone?

No. Most of us go through life trying not to intentionally piss people off, though. He's a politician who desperately needs votes. He can be diplomatic without sacrificing his principles or appearing weak. Again, "Taylor Swift is a talented musician, but is obviously ignorant about politics" would have been so much better than, "I hate Taylor Swift." He is so frustrating.

Mostly I'm disappointed that Trump's tweet was low effort. His mean tweets used to be funny and clever. Now has has "Old Man Yelling At Cloud" energy.

"I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT"

Really? Do better.

The article is talking about Brittany Mahomes.

But yes. It's true that Taylor Swift is high maintenance. There's rumors that her relationship with Travis Kelce is fake.

Maybe he was alluding to the SWIFT financial messaging network.

Almost seems like Trump is trying to lose. He’s going to stick us with Kamala Harris as President. Thank a lot, Don.

OK. And if he would have said those exact words what? After the media rinse cycle, it would have came out as he said He Hates Taylor. Yes?

Mr. Trump eliminated the middlemen.

I'm the same way for most part. I think that gambling is ruining professional sports.

Hollywood is too woke so there's not much to watch. If they fix that, there'll be more stuff to watch again. (Maybe)

“Can only lose votes of Swift worshippers.”

Who are they? Come on. There’s no such thing

I’ve heard one swift song. Her band is good. Her voice is good, if it’s not auto tuned I guess. The lyrics are about how she’s angry at some guy (who is a celeb that people claim to know- that’s a hateful nasty thing to do I’ve never heard of before) for breaking up with her after she decided they are going to be in love

There’s talk of suicide in it I grew up listening to every Jackson Browne burnout song, Dylan, CSNY and Joni Mitchell song I’ve never heard anything nasty like Taylor swift sings

They listen to this stuff and let their daughters hear it without telling them how wrong an attitude that’s to have toward a boy who unmarried gets to move on. He has freedom

Trump let them know he doesn’t care about swifts statement

Good.

I blame Trump for it. He gets too involved in the squabbles of pop culture. And the “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” post ? Screaming in all caps ? How childish. All he needs to do is stay focused on the two I’s - Immigration and Inflation .

Every effort Trump makes from here on out needs to have a net vote gain. "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT" did not earn him a single new vote but it likely cost him a few.

In case Trump needs to be reminded, if he loses this election, he's likely to die in prison.

Fortunately for Trump, some lunatic with a rifle at his golf course yesterday helped everyone forget about this idiotic tweet.
