Yep - she no doubt lied.
She has SS protection 24/7 as does her family and stepdaughter.
She and her family do not have lifetime protection, though, as a former VP. But yes, of course, while in office she is protected by the very guns she would ban others from owning .
The “we are gun owners” is a verbal trick that makes it sound like they own multiple guns. Perhaps they are complete hypocrites and own all the types they want to ban. Or maybe they went and bought a .22 single stack before the campaign to make the claim technically true.
But it doesn’t matter, because the press will never ask her what type of gun or whether she is proficient in using it.
The real problem, IMO, is they are never challenged on their premises that gun ownership is a) a privilege granted by the government b) restricted to arbitrary types, and c) only for arbitrary uses (hunting, self-defense).
