Thank you for the kind words. Looking back I know the ER nurses knew he was gone based on how they looked at me in there. Yes. It was the worst day of my life having to be there alone and deal with that. I’d never been trained for CPR but did my best.

As I was thinking about it when writing my previous post I was thinking it wouldn't hurt to get a refresher course it has been so long. I last took it when they still had the rescuer breath every so often between pushes. And no defibrillator instruction.

Now they just recommend the chest compressions. And much faster than I think I remember. I read somewhere that the compressions should keep time with the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive”
