I have lived near Greenville for 19 years. The area votes Republican, but is not necessarily conservative. Greenville has many big city benefits. Vibrant downtown, cultural venues, and good airport. Greenville is also close to many outdoor recreation opportunities. Yet Greenville has the traffic, sprawl, immigration and crime that plagues any urban area.

Personally I would explore the communities of Easley, Seneca, or Landrum. Rural, but commuteable to Greenville.

Thank you! Looking to other opportunities to look at.

We are Southern born and are in shock at being inundated with people from the north who don’t share our values and are only looking for warmer weather in a place they can screw up as badly as they destroyed their former homes.
