I have never seen a group of people that feel more entitled than government employees.

I would agree the federal workforce is bloated and needs to be pruned - starting with all the IRS new hires and the Dept of Education. I would not agree we “all” feel entitled. I feel grateful to be able to do my job and do it well. Even as a civilian for the DoD, I occasionally get put in harm’s way, and I expect nothing in return. Some things are more important than me, and it comes at a personal cost. What I don’t like is being tarred with the same brush as the deadwood.

For sure. They have their own dedicated group of federal employees to determine whether they are appropriately compensated. Of course each year they “find” that federal employees are substantially underpaid compared with similar private sector jobs. Of course the reality is that large chunks of federal employees are actually UNDERWORKED AND OVERPAID,

When I last worked, I sure never felt any entitlement. Also the job had deteriorated to the point where it didn’t offer a livable paycheck any more. Previous to that it was a fairly likeable job, & the pay, while not great, at least offered a chance of being livable & maybe could even better that slightly. Then along came a new set of bosses & ruined the whole thing. Not too long after that, retirement was in the handwriting on the wall. Now in retirement, things have actually improved in spite of living on S.S.
