The website quoted in the article is run by one Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a former very powerful, ruthless and corrupt Russian oligarch. After Putin cleaned up the worst of the oligarchs who were bleeding Russia dry, and Khodorkovsky was forced into exile, he of course has a vendetta against Putin. This is where these tabloids get their “inside information”.

Some of it may have some truth in it, some likely dreamed up in a vindictive mind. It is what it is.
