It would be odd for a physician to self shoot propofol. The most common drug physicians pilfer is fentanyl. It is a real risk of the profession, something we all look for and train to know.

Nowadays the mind altering drugs industry has way more compounds, natural and synthetic.
P.S. Dr propofol probably thought he was gonna get small syringe full of propofol...enough to knock him out for a few minutes, but not kill him.
