I believe Russia hasn’t gotten to the bottom of its resources yet. The old military equipment being destroyed is surplus and expendable, so the cost to Russia is minimal. I don’t think they are using up their newest equipment yet.
The Russians are using the FAB glide bombs which are new. They are doing quite well with them too.
The FAB glide bomb is an amazing story. All these Soviet era dumb bombs (500 kg, 1000kg, 1500kg) have been transformed into precision stand off game changers. The glide kits, I think, cost two or three thousand. They have literally millions and millions of the bombs. The Russians have introduced and are building FAB 3000kg block busters.
The Military Summery Channel reported today that Russia has so many brand new Iskander missiles and their mobile launchers that battalion sized formations are getting their own Iskander units.
This is turning into an appalling bludgeoning.
