A resin hitch doesn’t sound great to me, but then I’m no materials scientist. I’d look for other areas to save weight. * shrug *

I agree...might look strong in the lab but “resin” and “held with clips” sounds mighty dicey...

The hitch isn't resin. The cover that goes over the hitch hole and blends it into the rear fascia is resin and it's popping off going down the road due to a clip defect. It's a poorly written story.
