What does “atopic’ mean. I am afflicted with seborrhoeic dermatitis, for which I finsally got referred to a dermatologist a month from now.

It would be an exaggerated response to normally harmless substances.

I had dermatitis and as it turned out, it was caused by the aluminum oxide in the deodorant that I used.
I discovered that during the covid lock down.
The skin under my arm pit became so affected and when I applied some cream that I got from my dermatologist,
the skin peeled away along with all of the hair follicles.
I stopped using deodorant for a time and my dermatitis completely heeled.
I use a carbon based deodorant now, but I really don’t need it since I have no hair under there anymore.
Just thought I’d pass this along.
