Zalesky refused to go to the hospital and didn’t bother with stitches, even as co-workers fretted about the bloody wound. Instead, he cleaned it himself and had a pharmacist wrap it with gauze.
The new Harris/Tiny Tampon Tim America. Arrest the good guy for interfering with a bottom feeding Democrat bad guy committing a crime.
Meanwhile, Zalesky said getting fired was a bit of a relief — now he doesn’t have to deal with the nonsense that comes with retail, such as rude customers and sometimes violence.
He started a GoFundMe — which has raised about $1,600 — to help shore up his finances. And he’s taking a few weeks to figure out his next move.
But he’s still a little salty about his former employer’s decision.
Next time... Just let them walk right out of the store... The store doesn’t care, why should he.
Hope this results in a lawsuit.
A lawyer might say a life is worth millions, quite often correctly.
There’s a reason stores don’t want employees to physically fight theft.

Author of article. Might be decent journalist?
Most articles have an obvious agenda, I am not seeing one here?
The store I usually go to drastically reduced the number of self-checkout stations — presumably to cut down on theft. Sections of registers are shut down and roped off until someone else is called over to monitor them while in use.
Walmart will fire and sue him.
Large-scale theft is usually accompanied by fencing.
In areas where theft is common, stores might carry popular products with their own logo affixed.
Stores like Home Depot might offer rewards for stolen tools. When Jose uses the porta-potty Pedro might type in the serial numbers of his power tools to try to get a reward.
In socialism all resources are public property in common for whoever wants it.
The Italian word for lazy is pigro.
When I worked at Best Buy back in the 80s, a store employee chased a shoplifter out into the parking lot and was shot and killed by the shoplifter. Ever since then the policy has been to let them go. As a result Best Buy is losing tens of millions from professionals who know they won’t be stopped.
Walmart’s encouragement of shoplifters shouldn’t go unnoticed.
How utterly stupid!
And people wonder why everything is so expensive. You are paying for all the stolen goods people.
"Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not cast your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."
Matthew 7:6
That’s correct. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if one of those gang members was behind the stabbing.
I have seen several shoplifters caught at Walmart. The Walmart people waited till the shoplifters were out of the door an in the parking lot before several, with radios, surrounded the shoplifter and cops called.
No wonder employees at Walmart never ask if they can help you.
Or even look at you. They don’t want to get fired or dead.
