Speak for yourself. Grandmother was addicted to Swanson TV dinners in the 50’s. When she died, the bottom drawer of the ice box was filled with aluminum trays. And covers. Sunday was for natural cooking when mother had had a day of rest.
We did eat junk food in the 60s. It was probably not as big part of our diet as for many people today. It also was not made with the same additives.
Look at a bag of a national brand of corn chips. The plain ones have three ingredients : corn oil, and salt. As soon as you get a flavored one ( like cheese flavor) , it has about 20 ingredients, the other 17 of which are bad for you.
