The authoritarians in the United States are no different than the authoritarians in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. They showed their hands during the covid lockdowns. Sadly, the citizenry just keeps reelecting them.
I'm not convinced that's true. I lean toward the hypothesis that we now have "selections" rather than elections.
