Not having seen actual pics yet, but knowing that optics and AKs are like competency and democrats, the rifle is probably a Dragunov.

It actually looks like a Saiga 7.62. No pistol grip, possibly 18” barrel and the magwell is far forward of the trigger.

Hard to identify based off one fuzzy picture so far, but here goes.

To me the rifle appears to be a modified SKS type - converted to hold a 30 round magazine. They are relatively cheap and pretty common.

(this one has a 20 round mag)

Not an AK - AKs by and large have a prominent pistol grip, as well as a large distinctively shaped magazine.

AK type

I don't think that it's an SVD (Dragunov) or PSL rifle. 1) They are somewhat unusual and pricey, 2) they are pretty large - about 45-48 inches long, and 3) they both have a 10 round magazine.

SVD

PSL

As a side note, a guy named Francisco Martin Duran used the same setup (SKS with extended magazine) to shoot up the White house in 1994. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Martin_Duran.
