The beach leads directly into a very deep submarine canyon and when the waves arrive, they suddenly peak and then break in a very short distance. The force will drag you right back into the ocean. Scuba exits are known as the “Monastery Crawl” and it’s a right of passage for Norcal divers (it’s not that hard).
