I said this in another thread, we have to think about these situations differently, Polis isn’t stupid, he isn’t getting paid off, he doesn’t care, in order to care you would have to admit everything you’ve told people about these down on their luck immigrants was wrong, plus these Venezuelan gang members will be new Democratic voters.

These gang members are not you run of the mill gangbangers that are American, these Venezuelans come from a much more violent culture and it’s going to be really hard to get them out of the apartments.

They are armed to the teeth and will likely fight if local police attempt to take the apartments back.

Local and State police are not going to do anything without the Mayor and Governor ordering them to take back the apartments.

This is tailor made for the National guard, Especially if a unit contains some Spec Forces transferees. You don’t warn. You don’t threaten. You assault and clear. It will not end the phenomenon. It will clear out these apartments but the operation is under weigh. Other apartment will be invaded, probably with heavy weapons. A sort ofinvasion/civil war is begun, I think.

Something I have not seen mentioned anywhere is that there was a form of compulsory military service up until 2023 when they changed the law, there are 2 years of mandatory pre-military training in high school, and a appreciable level of desertion where those skills are being brought into gangs and ad hoc militias. So yes, there is a certifiable paramilitary element to these Venezuelans who are pouring over the border. Cops are not combat troops, sending them up against that probably won't end well. Gonna need a NG brigade that conducts tactical level tasks and support for homeland response force missions to dig those aholes out.
