As long as Trump pays them a quarter or two every time he uses one of their tunes, he’s good. Just like in any other gathering of people. They get their royalties.
Technically and legally that’s true. Yet families are being successful in squelching some songs from being played. I don’t how they’re getting away with it.
There is a near infinite supply of music that is in the public domain. John Philip’s Suza “The Thunderer” comes to mind. It could easily be rescored with a thumpier modern beat. But I like the original. Any Suza march would do.
