MSN like CNN are one of the fingers of the beast. Phys.org has their own 3rd party ad revenue APIs installed when you go there directly. Going directly to Phys.org helps their ranking and SEO scores. Why feed the beast? Find the reference on MSN and then go find the direct link to the original source and give them the business and hits instead of MSN.

But here is the real problem. MSN does bait and switch. While you may have posted to the article within MSN this is not what we get, when we click it they pull a bait and switch and redirect all these to their front index page instead of the article you are referencing. Now it has created a huge inconvenience because we have to go through a whole bunch of work to find that article you want us to see on MSN.

It turns into a huge chore and is not very courteous at all to the members here. Most hit that front home index page and just close it out and never read the article at all. Maybe you did not know MSN was pulling the bait and switch. Clear your cookies and then use the link you shared here. It will not go to the article, it will flip to a redirect going to the front index page instead.

By posting through MSN instead of sharing the direct original source link you are aiding and abetting their deceptive bait and switch scam on us here.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Phys.org agreed to sell that article to MSN.com.

If you click on the link I provided, you go directly to the MSN.com/Phys.org article.

You do NOT get re-directed to the MSN.com home page.

One of the great mysteries about Free Republic are the dozens and dozens of Freepers who have a pathological hatred for Microsoft.

I have been buying Dell computers and Microsoft Windows for the last 30 years.

Excellent computers. Excellent software.
