Vanity- How to Regain Control of Facebook Account
Self

Posted on 08/28/2024 5:40:17 PM PDT by del griffith

My wife’s Facebook account looks like it’s been hacked. When she requests a reset code, she enters what’s sent and Facebook says the code entered doesn’t match the code sent. Anyone have experience with this? Ideas, suggestions or insights to break through would be appreciated. She uses the feature to stay in touch with old classmates, associates and family on the other side of the country. TIA.

He explained why his wife uses it. Why do people have to put other people down that use Facebook? My kids and grandkids are on there. I don’t care what you call it. I’m using it.

After resisting for about a year, I signed up on Facebook in 2008. I found that it was a convenient one-stop way to communicate with family and friends.

I was working in Iraq then, and rather than having to answer 17 emails whenever something got reported on the news back home, I could just post something like “They missed again!” on Facebook.

I use it sporadically now, but it was quite handy back then.

The Internet says “try this” (requires FaceBook Messenger on a smart phone tho.):
“Go to the Meta Account center through the phone’s FB messenger app settings. (go to messenger app, tap on your top left sandwich icon, settings, and at the very bottom Meta Acc Center / PW & Security)”...”Change the password there and add 2FA.”

She uses the feature to stay in touch with old classmates, associates and family on the other side of the country.

My advice: Abandon Facebook and write old-style letters, instead.
