Russia is temporarily surviving economically thanks to its Military Industrial Complex (MIC).
However, in order to cope with Kremlin’s spectacularly failed invasion of Ukraine and costly illegal annexations, Russia had no other choice than orienting 40%(!) of its entire national budget - on war and MIC. That is an epic level of spending that matches the beyond the scale levels during the Soviet Union days - which in the end crashed the Soviet economy and propelled the country into the 1991 revolution. Russians were simply fed up with their deep-state war-spending-Kremlin-Machine. IN America today, only 13% is spent.
Thus, Putin is destroying Russia the same way the Soviets did. He is diving head-first in massive passed Soviet mistakes.
Putin is truly neo-soviet. Spend, spend, spend on an illegal wars he now will never be able to finish. The Kremlin’s future is clear : retreat from Ukraine or crash.
The Russian people deserve the end of this madness, As of now they are the only ones in Russia being forced to pay for this war : with their blood, massively reduced freedoms, and new taxes all over the place.
