Picture an 18 year old spending $100 on one. Then picture a 20-something spending $6000 on a bigger one. $6k is the limit on IRA’s. Picture that money growing for 40 years. Then there’s the brand new Ford 150 they’re spending $400 a month on(No cash).
I’ve always operated under the concept that as long as it does not harm me or my loved ones, whatever someone else wants to spend their money on is none of my damned business.
There have been studies that show tattoos can be harmful — like a ton of other things, of course. Blood issues, infections, etc.
“whatever someone else wants to spend their money on is none of my damned business.”
Technically that’s true, I guess. But when I see people in checkout lines buying stuff that isn’t necessary, that I couldn’t afford, paying with EBT cards, and sporting tattoos, it bothers me. It is my business. That’s MY money they’re using, and if they can afford tattoos, they can afford to pay full price. Ditto for the ghettopotami with their expensive and exotic hairdos.
