No, my memories were exactly as the experience was so “real” that it shook me to the core and I Immediately conveyed the experience to hospital staff and to parents when they came back in after it was OK to do so.

I don’t know for certain, but I think the “commonality” might likely stem from a God given universally experienced protection during the dying process that God built in during creation. I also think there might be other non spiritual reasons why ther eis a commonality in experiences too.

The neuron issue the neurons aren’t dead yet, but are experi3ncing trauma which may cause them to fire in u expected ways which may trigger visions/hallucinations, just like when a person has a fever, they have weird hallucinations.

There are dreams that are common the world over no matter what culture one is from too- dreams such as falling, or running away but can’t escape a person pursuing, or animal or whatever.

The experience I had is common for those that “go the other way in death”- why? I dunno- I suspect misfiring synapses had a lot to do with it. Could just be that my personality is one where I “fear “ the worst subconsciously, and that played a large part, but again, I didn’t know of hell at the time- what it would be like, but maybe my fearful mind invented it- who knows.

The way to get past the materialist myths is to understand the brain is hardware and the mind/soul is software.

When your computer crashes the software can still be on the “cloud” or stored in other ways.

Scientists claim the software does not exist.

Needless to say they are fools.

I posted this podcast upthread but I will do it again.

I could encourage you to listen:
