Me, too. I had an excellent Teac reel-to-reel that I schlepped around every time I relocated. It was heavy as a car, I think. When I moved to HI, I had to let it go. 😢
And they were nothing if you didn’t have a beautiful, 8-foot, wooden console for your whole system!

We used to customize our reel to reels to have four heads and four tracks to record four separate live instrument tracks and put them together. A four track recording studio. :)

I bought one when I was in Japan in the late 70s. Don’t remember the model but it was relatively very expensive Teac and fun as heck to play with. I stupidly stored it in a non-climate controlled store room and it died.

I have a lot of good memories of family weekends and dad putting on his favorite reel-to-reel mix tapes.
