I remember when Quadrophonic Eight-Tracks were a thing.

“I remember when Quadrophonic Eight-Tracks were a thing.”

I do too and it was an incredible audio experience! It had “presence” like surround sound. I have often wondered why this audio experience has not been revived and replicated as a true four channel standard rather than just the two channel standard now that digital has unlimited tracks and output channel division capability.

I still dig hi-fi.

Concerts back in the day were hi-fi. That to me was the realistic sound of the band you were listening to. Of course stereo concerts became a thing, I don’t know if they still do that. All the local club performances are for the most part hi-fi too.

I remember guys hooking up big 8 track systems into their cars. They took up a lot of space but everyone thought they were so cool.

I seem to remember them playing a lot of The Young Rascals.
